The Lowdown: Mike Schopp - a Grand Island native - has quickly established himself as one of the nation's top sports talkshow hosts. In radio since 1995, Mike's successes along with with his immense sports knowledge and witty humor have earned him many local listeners. In 1993, Schopp graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester with a Communications-Journalism degree. While in Rochester, Mike covered high school and college sports for the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

Besides working in radio and for the D&C, Mike has been the play-by-play announcer for Rochester Red Wings baseball, Rochester Americans hockey, Rochester Knighthawks lacrosse and Buffalo Blizzard soccer. In the radio end of things, Mike was named the morning sports anchor in 1998 at the top rated WHAM 1180 AM in Rochester. Shortly after, he earned his big break when he hosted "The Mike Schopp Show" on WHTK 1280 AM. Over the past two years, Schopp was the afternoon host on 107.7 FM in Buffalo.
